hi, impromptu 1:00am post here,

I just wanted to check in with you all. I’m not sure how many of you are out there, but you may have noticed that I have not posted anything on YouTube or my blog in a long while.

I decided a while ago that I would stop making YouTube videos, or at least the beauty/fashion ones. I could write an entire post on why I made this decision, but essentially I knew God had a different plan for me, and the realisation that I didn’t want “fashion” and “beauty” to comprise such a big part of my life made that decision easier. I still love a lot of aspects about the world of fashion, but I felt that what I was wearing, what new products I could buy, and other materialistic thoughts were always at the front of my mind, when all of it is unnecessary bullshit. Life is about balance, and constant thoughts about appearance and possession isn’t balance.

Nevertheless, I still love the video platform Continue reading

All I Want

This song has shared many moments with me this past week.
Moments of pure joy through the sheer vulnerability of the track; moments of anger released through the passion you can hear in each line; moments of feeling as if I’m in a music video and mouth the lyrics like theres some camera following me like whodoithinkiam; moments of sadness recalling each heartbreaking moment of The Fault In Our Stars (Ansel, Shailene, WHY).

Healthy Chocolate Cake in a Mug

She ain’t the prettiest thing, but this chocolate-banana ‘cake’ is absolutely delicious. Better yet, no flour, oil, butter, or refined sugars are involved and neither are a lot of carbs (yet it’s extremely filling and quick & easy to make).

All in a mug and cooked in the microwave, here’s my simple 5 minute chocolate-version of the peanut butter cakes I showed you guys last (last) month.

Outfits of the Month- June

Throughout June my life was jam packed with schoolwork, but at the same time each week presented me with an opportunity to celebrate and spend quality time with friends.

4 weeks. 4 parties. 3 outfits + this one.

Let me know if you guys would like to see more fashion related videos or more of anything else!

Much love,

Don’t Stop

While staying at my friend Ameya’s place in Melbourne for a few days, we have collectively developed an unhealthy obsession with the band 5 Seconds of Summer.

Just last week I assumed they were just another boyband famous for having nice faces and singing love songs, but I have now realised they are a group of young, amazingly talented, funny, asdfgjshdheks, cool people.

who have nice faces and sing love songs.

Checkout our one take cover of their song Don’t Stop!

A new video will be up soon!

Much love,

Summer Trends of 2014

Ahhhh the summer time. For most, that means vacations, beach time, and finally getting to take off layers of clothing.

In Singapore, where its 25-30° C on a regular basis during ‘winter’, summer means more humidity, more heat, and more hoes wearing even less clothing. #croppedcroptops

And more sweat.

which you can see in the video.

In all seriousness I hope you’re all having a fantastic summer (or winter, which I’m currently experiencing in New Zealand- my first winter in two years!) and you’re enjoying life in every aspect!

Much love,

Birthday Outfits

Hey guys, long time no talk!

My friend’s birthday is coming up, so to celebrate my friends and I went out for a classy pizza dinner and a totally un-fancy sleepover. Here’s what we wore that night:

Sorry I haven’t posted for a bit, I’ve been busy finishing up assessments and putting off assessments and spending time with friends 🙂

I hope you’re all pumped for summer/ enjoying the cold (after two years in Singapore, I would kill for weather below 20°… or even just seasons!)

Much love,

“Glacier Point”

Not only can Kinsey perfectly capture moments with people, but she sure as hell has a knack for landscapes.

How she creates such ‘flat’ looking black and white shots while still maintaining a high contrast is beyond me.

Check out the rest of her shots here.
(+ she also makes awesome DIYs!)
